The Parish Council is as one saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen
On behalf of the Parish we extend our deepest sympathies to all of Her Family.
It is impossible to put into words the mixed emotions that we are all feeling at this moment.
There is no doubt that she has, as promised, spent her whole life in service of the Realm with dignity, humility, diplomacy and above all humour. That all embracing smile will have saved the day on many tense international occasions, even Paddington bear was taken aback when she produced a marmalade sandwich from her handbag.
Her long life is well documented and played out very publicly. To have withstood that for 96 years
and still have a smile for Her new Prime Minister speaks volumes.
A Book of Condolences is available in the Church of St. Andrew and St. Mary is open as from today.
